If you’re enrolled in Medicare and covered under the NALC Health Benefit Plan—you will receive enhanced prescription coverage through the SilverScript® Prescription Drug Plan (PDP)—an Employer Group Waiver Plan (EGWP).
This Plan combines a Medicare Part D drug list with your current year's prescription coverage. This makes sure you pay the lowest cost available for your prescriptions.
When enrolled in the SilverScript PDP EGWP, you'll get these improved benefits:
A $2,000 maximum prescription out-of-pocket limit.
Lower copay/coinsurance structure.
Retail pharmacy coordination with Medicare and the NALC HBP.
Your plan will pay your Medicare Part D premium (this does not include IRMAA).
High Option Plan members can also get up to $600 back each year for Medicare Part B premiums. HealthEquity manages this reimbursement.
You don't pay any extra premium for this plan. However, if you have higher income—you might be responsible for an extra charge for your Medicare Part D benefit. To learn more, see the Part D-IRMAA section of the Medicare website—or contact the Plan directly.
Being part of the SilverScript PDP is your choice. You can opt out of SilverScript PDP enrollment at any time. If you decide to opt out, you'll automatically stay in your current NALC prescription plan.
